It started out really good. But halfway through I just had to quit. Kept getting more depressing, plus all the horrible & cruel characters. Felt like every page was just "what can we do to shock the reader next". When the cousins started sleeping together I was done. Wish I hadn't wasted my night reading this twaddle!Product details

I kept hoping that this book was going to get better, but it was ridiculous. It was over the top with how lucky the characters were when something went wrong. Song side of the track wins everything. It lacked romance, and the characters were unbelievable. I couldn't get into the story.
This book has so many different stories going on I swear the writer has to have ADHD! Can’t stay on task for sh!+… All over the place and could have been about 3 hours shorter easily! Jesus bless her lil heart!
Wow!!! Loved this story!!! I would recommend this book to any one who love the ultimate love story. I couldn't put this book down. I didn't know what was going to happen. I knew what I wanted to happen. Then it happened perfectly. I felt like I was there. I wanted to be in the story!!!!!
I kept hoping the book was going to pick up. Hoping it would finally get better. I wanted so badly to just quit reading, but I have a hang up about not finishing books. I don't know how this book has so many 5 star reviews! The book revolves around why the two main characters can't be together. How life seems to keep them apart. Then when they finally do get together, the book just ends. Ms. Collins seemed to just run out of ideas. Or steam. The book was on depressing, devastating, life ruining event after another. It would have been nice if she'd given us a little bit of excitement to help tie up the ending.
This was my first and last Jackie Collins book. It wasn’t as sexy as I was hoping for and just so damn depressing. Can nothing go right for these characters? Then the last chapter everything just fell into place for them. The end. Just not my cup of tea.
This story was a reminder that stars are humans. That they experience pain just like we do. Stardom doesn't happen overnight and we never know what has shaped a person. Lauren to be so smart and strong was so passive to me. Just willing to accept relationships she didn't really want to be in. Rather than fighting for the one she craved. Cyndra was also passive just accepting what Reece gave her and being shallow when it became to Marik. However She was a fighter...and she took her power back from the Brownings. She also made amends with her mother and brother which I think was important for her to move forward. Nick was a go getter and made a way out of nothing. He was a protector and stayed in a lifeless relationship to ensure that both him and his sister could pursue their dreams. He kept fighting for Lauren and never gave up even when hope was lost. I had hoped for a stronger ending after all they had been through.
I have to admit that I've never read a Jackie Collins book before so I wasn't sure what to expect. Wow is what I got from this book! For there to be so many different characters in the book, such diverse backgrounds, Jackie Collins has the gift of tying them all together, of explaining each background without inundating you with details, and letting you fall in love or hate with each character. I totally enjoyed the way the story develops into nearly being there, almost there, no chance of getting there and finally thru so many events, it all works out for the best. Would I recommend this book? Absolutely, its so well written you just don't want to put it down because as sure as you do, something else will happen.
